The Super Silent concert series returns to the atmospheric setting of the Emmauskirche in Berlin-Kreuzberg from January 24 to 26, 2025. The series blends contemporary classical music, minimalism, improvised sounds, and electronic music, o_ering two concerts each evening that invite the audience to leave behind the hustle and bustle of daily life and discover new sonic worlds in the unique acoustics of the Emmauskirche.
Program:
January 24, 2025: The evening begins with a special collaboration between STUDNITZKY & TAPE SHIFTER (Demian Kappenstein, also known for the pop duo ÄTNA). This is followed by a performance by Ludwig Wandinger.
January 25, 2025: The evening curated by FRAMED presents a diverse soundscape with Tamar Halperin & Guy Sternberg, whose music fills the space, followed by Tamaz Dekel, who rounds off the atmosphere with his unique style.
January 26, 2025: Aki Takase, celebrating her 77th birthday, performs in a duo with the renowned soprano Mayumi Nakamura. The evening concludes with the project Materia Air, featuring Beat Weyeneth (stones) Julius Apriadi (mallets), and Claudio Puntin (winds).
Throughout all three days, an art exhibition by artist Anna Nezhnaya, curated by FRAMED, will be on display. Her neon objects and large-scale painting harmoniously integrate with the church's architecture, adding to the atmospheric experience of the concerts.
Following the successful premiere of Super Silent 1 in late October/early November 2024, with artists such as Glass for Two (Pascal Schumacher & Danae Dörken), Kit Downes, Isabel Anders, Kaan Bulak, Philou Tsoungui, and Korhan Erel, Super Silent once again offers an invitation to experience music in its purest form. The Emmauskirche will become a space where sound and silence converge, inviting the audience to pause and reflect.
